FIRST-PARTY INSURANCE CLAIMS

We have in-depth experience in the development, presentation, and negotiation of claims, as well as in litigation, arising under first-party coverages, including property damage, business interruption, contingent business interruption, builder’s risk, and other first-party insurance. We have represented policyholders in complex, protracted first-party claims. Our work has included, for example, initial coverage assessments, work with loss-quantification experts in designing systems to capture and categorize covered loss and expense, and advice on the content of claim documentation. Where no reasonable accord can be reached with the insurer, we litigate in appraisals, arbitrations, and trials.
