

Amber’s practice focuses on a variety of litigation matters for the Port of Houston Authority and also assisting in the representation of commercial policyholders in insurance coverage disputes.
Representative Matters:
Assist in the management of a litigation docket for the Port of Houston Authority including personal injury claims under the Texas Tort Claims Act; condemnation issues; inverse condemnation and nuisance claims; open records requests; violations of criminal ordinances; property damage claims; contract disputes; government procurement issues; and governmental immunity issues.
Assisted in the representation of a major healthcare provider under a first-party policy for property damages caused by Hurricane Ike.
Assisted in the representation of a Houston-based natural gas company against securities claims arising under its directors and officers policy.
Assisted in the representation of a communications firm against defamation claims under its commercial general liability policy.
Assisted with a variety of other issues under commercial general liability policies, first-party policies, D&O policies, professional liability policies, and umbrella and excess policies.
